Home is where the heart is

Rainbow over my house

This evening I enjoyed a pleasant short walk home from the church, about 5 blocks. Just as I was leaving it started raining, drizzling really.

As I walked by one house I smelled the freshly mowed grass. I never really though about how much I enjoy the smell of fresh mown grass. The grass reminded me of as a kid watching Dad mow the lawn. Wonderful summer days playing with my sisters. Growing up and learning to mow the lawn myself. Mowing Grandma's lawn to earn money for scout camp. Plenty of wonderful thoughts and a nice rainy walk.

As I turned the corner at the end of the block I saw a rainbow. Here's the picture from my camera phone.
